A Day in the Life of a Personal Concierge
While every day is different for a personal concierge, I thought I would give you an inside look into one day that I had last week. This is my exact day— hour by hour— in Boston. It will give you an idea of the wide range of items that we take care of for our clients.
We’re an extension of you, just let us do it for you.
My morning begins with coffee and some play time with my one year old daughter. This has nothing to do with the tasks of a personal concierge, but it’s important to make time for family (and she’s pretty cute).
kids laundry- file folded
9am- 11am:
Go to client’s home and help with laundry, folding and putting away said laundry, run dishwasher and put away dishes, make kids lunches for the week, and organize toys/make beds.
car full of donations to be made from a household purging session
11:30am:
Bring donations of clothing, toys, and kitchen items to Julies Family in South Boston for a client whose basement was purged yesterday (We spent all day purging 30 years worth of items, filling a dumpster, and reorganizing what was left).
Not an accurate representation, but I like to think I look this fabulous while running errands for clients.
12:30pm- 2pm:
Head to Chestnut Hill and make some purchases and returns for clients. Must return boots, purchase housewarming gift, and have a leather bag repaired. While I’m there, scarf down Sweetgreen (because I can’t resist).
2pm- 4:30pm:
Settle in to a cafe with internet to get multiple tasks done. Below is a list of tasks I accomplished this day.
Do research on and contact different companies that will waterproof a basement.
Send emails to different landscape architects to plan for a major spring renovation.
Call doctors offices and make appointments for a client.
Call masseuse and hair salon to make appointments for another client.
Brainstorm ideas for 70th birthday gift and send options to a client.
Order multiple items for clients home that were discussed in a recent meeting.
Make a spreadsheet organizing all of clients frequent flyer information, miles and when they expire. Share this document via Google drive with client.
Plan and send options for a new wardrobe solution to a client who needs better organization in her bedroom.
Adorable daughter
5pm- bedtime:
Plan for my own life and spend time with family. Although, responding to emails and organizing tasks for the week inevitably sneak in once adorable daughter goes to sleep.
As you can see, the tasks that your personal concierge can accomplish range from in person housekeeping tasks to online research, appointment making, and beyond. If you’re curious how we can help you and would like to chat- please reach out for a free consultation today.
